About Haldex

Environment

Environmental issues comprise a natural part of our daily operations, and an important element in the Group’s strategic direction and brand.

The Group’s mission includes focusing on products that improve the environment. We currently have a number of development projects under way in which the products will have very tangible positive environmental effects.

Our environmental policy takes into account the total environmental impact resulting from the manufacture, use and scrapping of the Company’s products. Our policy is based on a lifecycle perspective.

Haldex strives to:

  • utilize natural resources as carefully as possible
  • reduce environmental impact by continuing to further develop our products and manufacturing processes
  • design products with a view to efficient recycling
  • reduce health and safety risks in the workplace
  • work toward a progressive and positive work environment

Environmental work is an integral part of the Group’s overall management system, in the form of Haldex Way, ISO 9000, QS 9000, IS/TS 16949 and ISO 14000. All Haldex facilities are either subject to licensing requirements or regulated under the environmental laws of the country where they are located. All units have the required licenses and agreements in place, and meet the established reporting and inspection requirements. Haldex also imposes climate and environmental requirements when purchasing products and services. Concrete activity plans in the environmental area are formulated locally in order to enable optimum adaptation to each respective unit’s operations and environmental impact. The results of these efforts are followed up annually at the Group level and total CO2 emissions are registered.
